Privacy policy

Revierdict is a browser extension, with this website, that finds YouTube reviews of the Amazon product you're looking at and sums them up. This page explains what it collects and why. In short: it only sends what it needs to find and summarize reviews, nothing is tied to you, and nothing is sold.

What the extension sends, and when

Nothing is sent until you click one of its buttons.

To search YouTube and download captions, your browser contacts YouTube directly, as it does when you visit youtube.com. YouTube's own privacy policy covers those requests.

What it doesn't collect

No account, name, email address or payment details. No browsing history: the extension only runs on Amazon's sites, only adds its button to product pages, and only reads the product's name, brand and ID when you click it. It never uses or reads your Amazon or YouTube accounts. It has no ads, and no tracking or analytics.

Sharing

Revierdict doesn't sell data, and doesn't share it except with the services that run it (the AI providers and the host, above), for the purposes described here.

Affiliate links

The Support page on revierdict.com turns an Amazon product link you paste into Revierdict's affiliate link for that product. As an Amazon Associate, Revierdict earns from qualifying purchases made through it. A full link is read in your browser; a short link (such as a.co or amzn.to) is sent to revierdict.com, which asks Amazon where it leads and doesn't keep it. If you open the link, Amazon may set its own cookies, and Amazon's privacy notice applies on Amazon's site. Summary pages link to the product on Amazon without an affiliate tag.

Children

Revierdict isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes and questions

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. For questions, use the contact details on Revierdict's Chrome Web Store listing.
